2009 NATIONAL SPECIALTY

April 21 - 26, 2009

Tuesday, April 21, 2009: IMPORTANT. Location Change of All Field Events at Rend Lake:
To All Field Participants from Alyssa:

The COE fields that were assigned to us are flooded due to the severe rain out here the last few days. All hunt tests are moving to County Line Hunting Preserve, approximately 30 minutes from the lodge.
Directions from the lodge:

Go north on North County Line Rd. 1.9 miles to Rt. 37
Turn RIGHT (south) onto Rt. 37 and go 2.5 miles to Ewing Rd.
Turn LEFT (east) on Ewing Rd.(Burton's Cafe is on the corner), drive 9.3 miles passing through the towns of Whittington and Ewing. ***SPEED LIMIT IN EWING IS 30 MPH - OBEY POSTED LIMIT***
Ewing Rd. runs into State Highway 14, at stop sign turn LEFT (east) on State Highway 14 and drive 1.6 miles.
Turn LEFT (north) onto Macedonia Rd. and drive 2.2 miles to the first road past Kearny Rd. and turn RIGHT (no street sign but there is a pointing dog sign on the telephone pole opposite the road).
Drive 0.6 miles and turn RIGHT on 050 East.
Turn RIGHT into the first driveway, parking will be on the LEFT before you get to the barn.

A special rate has been established for the SCOA Annual Meeting: $83.75 (includes tax) per night in ANY of the accommodations.

Rooms with dogs will have a one time charge of $30.00 for the cleaning of the room after the event.

General Hotel Guidelines for Guests WITH Dogs
Please comply with the following guidelines:

NO bathing or grooming dogs in the rooms.
Dogs must be on leash at all times.
You must clean up after your dogs.
Unattended dogs must be crated. Plastic sheeting is required under all crates.
When you are in your room with your dogs, please put a sheet or cover over the bedspreads.
Damages to the room are the Guests's responsibility and must be settled with the Hotel prior to departure.
Please treat the facilities and other guests with respect. Disruptive guests (or their dogs) may be asked to leave the hotel.
