To fund training and equipment for Spinone Italiano K9 Valor to become a Search and Rescue Dog.

Valor is a one-year-old Spinone Italiano who lives in Pottstown, PA. He is owned by Michelle Stump of Pottstown and Erica Cross of Dover, DE. His registered/show name is Ilvolare Valyrian Steel. Friends and family know him as Valor Vincenzo. At eight months, Valor earned more than half of the points needed for his AKC championship and he continues to enter the show ring.

But Valor is not just a show dog. He is a lovable, affectionate, intelligent clown who absolutely loves hikes and long walks. While on these walks, his nose is busy investigating everything that has ever been on that path. When Mom hides, he finds her. He stops and waits when asked and returns to check in on command. He is so happy exploring his world.

Spinoni are rustic hunting dogs with the ability to track, point, flush, and retrieve. And so, it seemed perfectly natural for him to have a job. Valor is in training to become a scent dog with PA Canine Search and Rescue (PACSAR). Depending on his strengths and abilities he could become proficient in ground scent, air scent, cadaver search, and/or water rescue. He is hoping to also join Delmarva Search and Rescue. Both of these are volunteer organizations. By purchasing one of his shirts, you will be helping to pay for the equipment needed by Valor and his handler.

He will undergo many hours of training and special equipment is needed for each type of rescue work. The equipment is designed to keep him safe and in communication with his handler and team. Special equipment is also needed for his handler so they can work together in all types of situations and terrain.

We thank you for reading Valor’s story and hope you will help him achieve this goal.

Buying one of K9 Valor’s shirts will help him achieve his goal!
