National Specialty Update!

As I'm sure that everyone is aware, dog shows are being canceled because of local, state and federal regulations. This is something that is beyond my pay grade as well as SCOAs! I have been in contact with Foy Trent Dog Shows, all of the judges as well as AKC. Here is where we stand.

As of today, the premium list will go live on the Foy Trent website by midnight tonight. HOWEVER, per AKC's new guidelines as of Monday, Foy Trent will NOT accept entries until Wednesday, April 8, 2020. The reason AKC is allowing this to happen is that this is a fluid situation. Some venues are open right now but that might not be the case in two or three weeks. This is to allow clubs with as much flexibility as possible with hard decisions that might need to be made. World, federal, state, and local rules are changing on an hourly basis in some places. I am in constant communication with the Holiday Inn and (as of the writing of this post) they are good with going forward with the show as planned. If any decisions are made regarding the national, I will keep everyone updated accordingly. Hopefully, we can weather this storm and get back to some type of normalcy really soon. But, in the meantime, do what the MEDICAL EXPERTS say. Quarantine! Especially for people with compromised immune systems and our more "experienced" members (myself included!)!!
