What is a Rally and Obedience Run-Through?
Rally Run-Through: You and your dog navigate a numbered course of 10 to 20 signs, performing specific obedience skills (like sits, turns, and weaving cones) at each station.
Obedience Run-Through: You perform a standardized sequence of precise heeling, stationary stays, and recalls (coming when called) directed by a ring steward or judge's commands.
The Goal: It gives dogs practice in a distracting ring environment without the pressure or cost of an official point-earning competition.
We encourage you to come and take advantage of this opportunity to get more ring practice time with you dog and most importantly have FUN!

Top 20 Competition (Informal Top 20 Plus judging – please read further
Dogs will be judged by a three-judge panel: a breeder judge, a judge licensed to judge the Spinone Italiano, and a handler judge. The identity of these judges will be announced at the beginning of judging. Each judge will evaluate the dogs on a predetermined point system, enumerating the criteria of our breed standard. The emphasis for judging is on the individual qualities of the dog and how closely he/she conforms to the breed standard. Dogs will be evaluated by each judge and given numerical values regarding various aspects of their conformation. Participating dogs will be judged early in the day in an informal setting. Scores will be tabulated according to the judging, and dogs and handlers will be dismissed. Everyone is welcome to observe the judging or participate in other activities.

They say no job is finished until the paperwork is done so this is where we get down to business and have an opportunity to gather and discuss the future of our breed and our club. We cannot conduct business unless we have a quorum so we encourage every SCOA member to plan to attend this meeting, time will be announced on location. Come out and make your voice heard! Please remember this club is run by volunteers. Courtesy and consideration is the order of the day so while you are encouraged to say what you have to say, please say it nicely. See you there!
