Spinone Only

On June 20th and 21st several members of Northeast Spinone gathered once again, at Greenpoint Wildlife Management Area in Dresden, Maine for our annual Spinone Only two-day event.

Day One, we were joined by Jason Carter and his training volunteers, who led the day by helping us through several stations.  We started with group obedience, then broke down into smaller groups to work on bird drags, pointing, and hold. During our lunch break, we had a dog show split into several age groups.  ALL Spinone were able to participate, from eight weeks to eight years. In the afternoon, we worked more on individual drills such as duck search, field work, and getting the pups into the puppy pond.

Day Two consisted of more field work and duck searches.

Though most attendees were from New England, we did have others join us from as far away as Pennsylvania and Canada.
